Friday Shoot

Well, its the beginning of what I always think of as Fall. I know its not technically Fall, but hey leaves are falling. I was the only Production Assistant on a Pro Bono commercial shoot today - it was fairly run and gun, but enjoyable nonetheless. We spent a good amount of time in the Largest YMCA I have ever seen, and coming from New York and Pa... I find that pretty impressive. I cherish experiences such as today’s, really because I have the awesome opportunity to spend time with film professionals and nice people, but also to serve. The film business is about serving! I found myself wanting to serve today. Strange? Sometimes I wish I could serve a girlfriend or a wife 24-7 just to see the smile on their faces...there is so much gratification in love. But, I remind myself that I serve the Man upstairs... and there is a similar feeling when I serve God. Why isn’t it greater? Has culture twisted my thinking so badly that I need to force myself to love God? I suppose loving God is a choice! In some ways Love is a choice... Contrary to Hollywood broadcasts - hehe... Well, I am just thinking out loud - sorry if it was a bit deep tonight - I like toying around with ideas like this... I am getting tired so goodnight.
