Above are the few pictures that were not of people from my group that I snagged from Amsterdam. We were on a five hour layover in the city of concentric circles as Camus calls it (also regards to Dante). But, in my opinion I find it a rather peaceful and beautiful city if you steer clear for the red light district. I guess that doesn't have a much to do with Camus, but anyhow...
We spent two days in Munich, where we flew around to several museums and saw some of the most impressive artwork I have ever witnessed. In addition, I really enjoyed how the Cathederal - next to the one that was bombed in the second war - is the tallest building in the City and must remain that way
AREIT MACHT FREI - "work makes free" the haunting phrase forged in iron on the doors of Dachau the 1st work camp in under Nazi Germany. Only thousands died here each year, because it wasn't a work camp, such as Augsburg. Nonetheless, the horrible tragedy that people experienced here mustn't be overlooked. I found this town to be very challenging emotionally. Yet, once we had processed that emotion - a reverence surfaced for the people.
